A showdown in Pakistan looms: Former President Pervez Musharraf plans to return to the country on Jan. 25 or 26 in a bid to revive his political career, and a federal prosecutor vows to arrest him on the spot, reports Bloomberg. Musharraf, who has been living in Dubai and London since resigning in 2008, is suspected of playing a role in the assassination of Benazir Bhutto in 2007, notes AP. Musharraf's attorneys say the arrest warrant has no legal merit. "He will come back soon to lead the nation," says a spokesman. (More Pakistan stories.)
