The Detroit Lions' Ndamukong Suh showed a huge Thanksgiving Day audience exactly why he is considered one of the NFL's dirtiest players. The defensive tackle was ejected in the third quarter of the Lions' 27-15 loss to the Green Bay Packers after the replay showed him pushing the head of Packers guard Evan Dietrich-Smith into the turf, then stomping on the player's right arm, ESPN reports. (See video at NFL.com here.)
Suh claims he was merely trying to keep his balance. "What I did was remove myself from the situation in the best way I felt,” he told reporters. “My intentions were not to kick anybody, as I did not, removing myself." Dietrich-Smith—saying "stuff happens"—declined to call it a dirty play, but his teammates were more outspoken. "There's no place for that," said defensive end Ryan Pickett. The win takes the Packers to a franchise-best 11-0. (More Ndamukong Suh stories.)
