Glenn Beck's Internet-only network GBTV, which already boasts a children's show, is getting an animated series. The network has signed a deal with production company Icebox to create a family-friendly cartoon series, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Icebox was founded in 1999 by a group of writers who worked on shows including the Simpsons and King of the Hill.

"Icebox is known for edgy, irreverent programming," Icebox's managing director said in a statement. "Many of our writers welcome the opportunity to create shows the whole family can watch. This venture lets us take a little break from shocking and offending our audience." The venture is still in the early planning stages, and Icebox creators haven't come up with a concept for the series yet. (More Glenn Beck stories.)
