Rapper Pimp C, half of the chart-topping duo UGK, was found dead in his Los Angles hotel room yesterday, and authorities have found no signs of foul play. Paramedics responded to a 911 call yesterday morning to discover Pimp C, 33, dead in bed, fully clothed. No drugs or related paraphernalia were found, and it appears he was alone when he died, authorities said.
Pimp C, whose real name is Chad Butler, leaves behind a wife and three children. He and Texas hometown fellow rapper Bun B formed UGK, which stands for Underground Kingz, 15 years ago. Although the duo had long enjoyed a devoted underground following, it wasn't until the group's seventh album, UGK, debuted atop the Billboard 200 this summer that the pair gained major mainstream success.
