Know where to go. Know the right people to talk to. Most importantly, get up early! Demand for the Nintendo Wii is going to far outstrip supply for the second Christmas in a row and Wired has some tips for people determined to track one down. Nintendo has stoked up production of the console, but executives admit there's bound to be a shortfall.

Big-box stores are said to be the best bet for Wii hunters, as consumers counting on online retailers will have to compete with thousands of others. Those absolutely determined to have a Wii under the tree at any cost can always turn to eBay—but they'll have to watch out for scams, and be prepared to shell out. (More Nintendo Wii stories.)
