It's tough out there on the campaign trail: Elizabeth Warren found herself being called a "socialist whore" working at the behest of her "foreign-born" boss by a Tea Party heckler this week, reports the Huffington Post. The man spoke up as Warren began her speech in Brockton, Mass., to say he'd been unemployed for more than a year and to question her sympathies with Occupy Wall Street. When the audience began trying to quiet him, Warren broke in: "No, no, it's all right. Let me say two things. I'm very sorry that you've been out of work. I'm also very sorry that the recent jobs bill that would've brought 22,000 jobs to Massachusetts did not pass in the Senate."
In regard to OWS, she added, "I've been protesting what's been going on on Wall Street for a very long time." The heckler interjected, "Yeah, so has the Tea Party." Then it got a little nasty: "Well, if you're the intellectual creator of that so-called party," he said, "you're a socialist whore. I don't want anything to do with you." After a reference to her "foreign-born" boss, he huffed off to an exit, only to find the door locked. Later Warren said she bore no ill will toward him. "He didn't come up with the idea that his biggest problem was Occupy Wall Street," she said. "There's someone else pre-packaging that poison—and that's who makes me angry."
