With the first two weeks of the NBA season already canceled, thanks to owners locking out the players in a salary dispute, the league is poised to cancel two more, reports the New York Daily News, citing "a person familiar with the league's plans." That's at least 102 more games through Nov. 28 wiped from the schedule, in addition to the 100 already axed.
Team owners are reportedly insisting the players agree on a 50%-50% split of revenues before they will even begin talking again. Under the last agreement, players received 57%. "I can't agree to meet if I don’t know what is going to happen on the other issues," says the players' representative. "That is intolerable." (More NBA stories.)
