Rebels: Gadhafi Is Surrounded

Libya’s rebel commanders say they’ve got Moammar Gadhafi surrounded, and it’s only a matter of time until they catch him—and this time they mean it. A spokesman tells the Telegraph that they’ve used a combination of high tech methods and human intelligence to narrow Gadhafi’s whereabouts down to a 40-mile radius that they’ve surrounded with troops. “He can’t get out,” the spokesman insists.

He wouldn’t say where this 40-mile radius was, other than to say that it was within Libya. A convoy of Gadhafi loyalists fled to Niger on Monday, including the commander of Libya’s Revolutionary Guards, but Niger officials denied reports that Gadhafi or any of his immediate family members were with them. Gadhafi's wife and some of his children are known to have sought refuge in Algeria.
