Lucinda Moyers would like to set something straight: She was in the same hotel as Alex Trebek last month for illegal purposes, but not to burglarize the Jeopardy host's room. Moyers, who was arrested on theft charges after Trebek chased her down (and tore his Achilles tendon in the process), claims she was actually working the hotel as a prostitute and was there to see a client, the San Francisco Examiner reports.

In fact, she says through her lawyer's office, she was never in Trebek's room—he never actually saw the burglar and fingered the wrong perp when he ran out the open door of his room. For her part, Moyers ran from him because she didn't want to be revealed as a prostitute. According to her story, the real thief is still on the loose: Her lawyer says she didn't have stolen property on her when she was arrested, and that some stolen items were found by an ice machine and others were not recovered.
