An odd issue regarding Michele Bachmann has come to the surface, causing some to question her ability to serve as president of the US: severe headaches. Bachmann suffers from migraines, three sources tell the Daily Caller, and the stress-induced episodes are fairly frequent and quite debilitating. One former adviser says they leave her "incapacitated," unable to "function at all," and "out of commission for a day or more at a time." (Bachmann herself has blamed the headaches on uncomfortable shoes; her spokesperson says the migraines are "under control with medicine.")
The Daily Caller recounts stories: The time she ended up in the hospital after her communications director quit, a stressful event that a former aide says triggered a headache; the time she went to urgent care immediately after landing in LA for political events; the time she had to be put to bed at the host's home during a fundraiser. Some close to her are particularly concerned about the number of pills she takes to control the condition. “As president, when she’s in crisis management mode, is she going to have the physical ability to withstand the most difficult challenges facing America?” asks a former aide.
