Everyone seems to have their own opinion on last week's not-guilty verdict in the Casey Anthony trial, but in one case it actually came to blows. An argument broke out on Saturday between Robert Hakimoglu and a group of Florida fisherman—and allegedly ended with Hakimoglu striking a woman then jumping off a pier in an attempt to elude police. The 42-year-old, who apparently didn't know the people he was talking to, vehemently agreed with the not-guilty verdict, according to police.
He said anyone who didn't agree with the verdict "is not an American," says a police sergeant. "And he said he would like to meet (Anthony) and maybe have kids with her." He allegedly hit the woman in the face while arguing with the group. As Hakimoglu saw Melbourne Beach police approach the pier he jumped off, and "we didn't know if he was alive or dead," says the sergeant. They ultimately found him at his parent's home, sleeping in his bedroom. He has been charged with resisting arrest without violence, battery, and an alcohol ordinance violation, reports Florida Today. (More Casey Anthony stories.)
