If the Casey Anthony verdict made you ill, it was even worse for the jurors who made the decision, claims one of them. Jurors cried and "were sick to our stomachs" after voting to acquit Anthony of charges that she killed her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee, said jury member Jennifer Ford. "There was not enough evidence," said the 32-year-old nursing student. "If you cannot prove what the crime was, you cannot determine what the punishment should be. I did not say she was innocent."
She said she found Anthony's story that her daughter accidentally drowned more believable than murder. "I toggled on manslaughter and not guilty," she said. "It doesn't feel good. It was a horrible decision to have to make." Everyone "wonders why we didn't speak to the media right away," Ford said on Nightline. "It was because we were sick to our stomach to get that verdict. We were crying, and not just the women. It was emotional and we weren't ready." Check out Nancy Grace's alternative perspective that the jury was simply kooky. (More Casey Anthony stories.)
