There are some ugly truths about Washington that persist no matter which party is in power: Spending always increases, Wall Street donors always get taken care of, and, maybe most troublesome, “the city’s political gears are always greased for war,” writes Joe Scarborough for Politico. Obama has expanded Bush’s war in Afghanistan and the drone campaign in Pakistan, and started a conflict in Libya. “Against this chaotic backdrop of military adventurism run amok, there is no countervailing force to balance a reckless, skewed foreign policy.”
The media describes conservatives who oppose the wars as "isolationists," which is “ludicrous, especially in light of what these outlets wrote in the age of Dick Cheney."
