Jon Stewart showed last night that he's an equal opportunity mocker, taking a break from his usual attacks on Fox News to instead ridicule "the 24-hour network that started it all, most trusted name in news, the gold standard: CNN." "You'd think there'd be some way for CNN to at least use its reporting team's unmatched size and breadth to do something really impressive," he said ... but of course, that is not the case.
Instead, the network runs ridiculous segments like Stream Team, Reporter Roulette, "Trending, where they just show you what's popular on Twitter, and of course, two segments where they just run YouTube videos," Stewart said. They even have a segment called "Random Moment of the Day," which pretty much sums up Stewart's complaint: "You're just playing clips. You're not even news anchors anymore, you're just news veejays."
