More Americans go online, more frequently, and for longer than ever before, Reuters reports. Four out of every five adults—including you, evidently—use the Internet, a figure that has steadily increased since 2000, according to a newly released survey. The poll marked an uptick in users who log on from a public terminal or with a wireless device.
Cyberspace's population is beginning to look more like the country's: Although younger audiences still make up the bulk of users, Americans over 65 are using the Web more. Hispanics, who make up 13% of the population, now represent 13% of net surfers. "Every year it's getting more and more like the general population picture," said the poll's director.
