Model: I Used Corkscrew to Castrate Gay Journo

Revolting details have emerged in the slaying of journalist and gay activist Carlos Castro—Renato Seabra, his confessed killer, told police he castrated Castro with a corkscrew before leaving him to die in a Manhattan hotel room. Seabro said that he did so in order to "get rid of Castro's homosexual demons," a police source tells the New York Daily News. Friends overheard the two arguing before Castro's death.

Which is odd, because by most accounts Seabro and Castro were a gay couple, who had stayed at the Times Square hotel for more than a week together, dining and drinking out. Nonetheless, Seabro and his family insist he was not the 65-year-old activist's lover: "from the beginning, he never hid his sexuality, which is heterosexual," Seabro's mother tells Portuguese media.
