Two Palestinan employees of Britain's consulate in Jerusalem have been charged in connection with a plot to attack the city's main soccer stadium. The two maintenance workers were among 5 people arrested in an alleged Hamas plot to fire a rocket into Teddy Stadium, home of the city's Beitar soccer team, the Independent reports.

Britain's Foreign Office says it has received assurances from Israeli authorities that the men's involvement in the plot wasn't connected to their work at the consulate, Britain's main diplomatic mission to the Palestinian Authority. The terror plot was still in the early stages and no rockets have been found, according to Israeli authorities.
