New Year’s hangover got you down? If the traditional hangover cures just aren’t working for you, try something slightly unconventional: yoga. Okay, so there’s no actual evidence to support the idea, but “we do feel that yoga reduces stress and … can make you feel better,” one doctor tells the New York Times. (She does, however, recommend you skip Bikram, or “hot” yoga, since it may further dehydrate you.)
One yoga teacher recommends a sequence of poses that you should perform while remaining “mindful,” not focused on “regretting what you did to arrive here in this condition.” Yoga props like eye pillows or supportive blocks are also helpful, but it’s probably not a good idea to end your sequence with a traditional headstand. The Times has suggestions for poses to try at home, or you can click here for a few more weird-yet-natural hangover cures—including honey—that don't require quite as much effort.
