Hillary Clinton may have taken a beating in the candidate debates this week, but the Wellesley College alum was hailed as a rock star when she returned to the all-women's campus to urge students to "shatter that highest glass ceiling." As students roared in approval, Clinton proclaimed: "We can make history."

Clinton waxed nostalgic about her college days protesting the Vietnam War and against a government "that didn't share our values—sounds kind of familiar, doesn't it?" she asked. She praised Wellesley, which she said prepared her "to compete in the all-boys club of presidential politics." (More Wellesley stories.)
