Vice President Joe Biden has issued the administration's strongest denunciation yet of Julian Assange. Asked on NBC's Meet The Press whether he thought the WikiLeaks founder was a whistleblower or a "high-tech terrorist," the vice-president said Assange was definitely the latter, and that the administration is actively seeking ways to prosecute him.
"This guy has done things and put in jeopardy the lives and occupations of people in other parts of the world," Biden said. "He's made it difficult to conduct our business with our allies and our friends. It has done damage." Biden says the leaks have made his meeting with world leaders more difficult. "There is a desire now to meet with me alone rather than have staff in the room," he said. "It makes things more cumbersome." (More WikiLeaks stories.)
