Christine O'Donnell is still here, and still making headlines thanks to comments like the one she made Tuesday, calling the extension of unemployment benefits a "tragedy." Not just a tragedy, but a tragedy that merited mentioning in the same breath as Pearl Harbor and Elizabeth Edwards. O'Donnell was at a Tea Party event on Pearl Harbor day when she noted that "today marks a lot of tragedy," CBS News reports.

"Tragedy comes in threes," she continued. "Pearl Harbor, Elizabeth Edwards' passing, and Barack Obama's announcement of extending the tax cuts, which is good, but also extending the unemployment benefits." She later backtracked, saying she meant that the "tragedy" wasn't the extension of the benefits, but the flaw in President Obama's logic, The Hill reports: "If we're going to extend the jobless benefits we have got to cut spending programs, and that's the flaw in his announcement. That's the tragedy."
