Investigators believe 18 bodies found in a mass grave near Acapulco are members of a group of Mexican tourists kidnapped a month ago. Police were led to the mass grave by a video posted on YouTube, in which two men answering questions from an unseen interrogator say they killed the men in an act of revenge against the La Familia drug cartel, AP reports.
The bodies of the men in the video were found on top of the grave, along with a note reading "The men they killed are buried here." The 20 men kidnapped last month were all mechanics from a neighboring state who had saved up money to take a vacation together, their families say. Investigators, who haven't uncovered any links between the men and any criminal organizations, say they believe the men were targeted by mistake.
