An overzealous village watchman in the Philippines shot and killed an actor he mistook for a real gunman. Police say the guard—who had been informed that reports of gunmen in the area were probably linked to film production—jumped on the actor's motorcycle and shot him in the back after the director shouted "Action," AP reports.
The guard, who says he borrowed the gun after a concerned citizen told him about motorcycle-riding gunmen in the area, has been charged with homicide. Dozens of witnesses at the scene believed the fatal shooting was part of the movie, a British production about the difficulties experienced by a fictional documentary crew filming in the Philippines.
