A major Catholic magazine in Italy has blasted Silvio Berlusconi for having what it calls “a disease, something uncontrollable” when it comes to women, the Daily Telegraph reports. The latest accusation in the PM’s never-dull love life: That he stepped in and helped get an underage girl out of prison, scot-free. “It is incredible that a man in such a position does not have the necessary self-control,” wrote La Famiglia Cristiana.
The magazine is sold in churches every Sunday, the Telegraph notes. Italy’s Corriere della Sera had reported that Berlusconi told Milan police to set a 17-year-old Moroccan belly dancer free after she was arrested over the theft of money and valuables from an acquaintance. It gets more convoluted: The teen is the same girl who said the PM gave her cash after the two slept together, reveals the Telegraph, which adds that the teen denies having slept with Berlusconi, but did say her gave her 7,000 euros after she attended his dinner party. She says she’s currently writing a book in he’ll feature, but “I can only admire and speak well of him.”
