Hecklers interrupted President Obama's latest stump speech in Bridgeport, Conn., for three to four minutes, chanting slogans and complaining that he was not doing enough to address the global AIDS epidemic. Obama seemed irritated by the protesters' antics, telling them, "You've been appearing at every rally we've been doing. And we're funding global AIDS (prevention). And the other side is not. So I don't know why you think this is a useful strategy."
After order was restored, he also gave a final verbal nod to the protesters by telling the crowd, "we're not going to be able to do anything unless we get the economy fixed, unless we can put people back to work, unless folks feel more confident about the future."
