Angle Vs. Reid: Pick Lesser of 2 Evils

Given a choice between Harry Reid and Sharron Angle, some Nevadans are choosing "No, Thanks." In a dead-heat race between the man perceived as the elite, entrenched Washington insider and the woman perceived as somewhere between slightly wacky and dangerous, both candidates are making a single, sad case to disillusioned voters: That they are the lesser of two evils. The New York Times reports.

Angle's supporters are largely backing her in order to oust Reid, the Times notes, while Reid's supporters are largely afraid of Angle and afraid of losing the leverage he brings the battered state in DC. "More people in Nevada dislike these candidates than like them,” says a Las Vegas-based GOP consultant. “It’s going to be about which side is going to persuade voters that the other candidate is worse.” (More Nevada senate race stories.)
