A British actor was rushed to a hospital after accidentally being shot in the face during a dueling scene in a London play. Blanks were supposed to be used in the guns, but a projectile apparently entered actor David Birrell's right eye, reports the Telegraph. Birrell, 35, was seen on a stretcher “looking shaken” and with his eye bandaged, said witnesses. Theater managers are investigating, and the play, the Passion by Stephen Sondheim, has been suspended. “Our priorities are to David’s well being and recovery," said a spokesman. Birrell is a stage veteran who starred as Patsy in Month Python's Spamalot.
