British police have locked up an Iranian gang that they allege was prostituting teen girls to wealthy Arabs. Police got wind of the gang when it made the mistake of offering its services to Sheikh Mohammad al Maktoum, ruler of Dubai, while he was staying in a London hotel. “I have 12 girls ready from age 14-20 years, who are living all over the UK,” they boasted in a note left at the hotel.

Staff passed the note to Scotland Yard, which arranged a sting, the Guardian reports. An officer who spoke Farsi emailed the group, receiving provocative photos of several girls. The gang said all were virgins, and that some could be “broken” by clients. When four gang members showed up for a meeting with six 14- to 22-year-old girls in tow, police nabbed them. The victims, who came from England, Poland, and Iran, had been told they could make money by dancing for clients—and more money for having sex with them. All four gang members face between 2 and 3 years in jail.
